Stairway Special Cardinal Gate SS-30
The Stairway Special Gate is most effective when used at the top or bottom of a staircase, yet it is versatile enough to be used in almost any situation.
A stopper bracket connected to the latching mechanism allows for this gate to open in one direction only. This will prevent it swinging into your staircase. The latch system itself can easily be operated by adults yet is still very effective with toddlers.
The gate is constructed with lightweight, rustproof aluminum finished in a baked on powder coat that is available in black or white. The Stairway Special Gate can be used indoors or outdoors. When used outdoors it is recommended that you purchase a stainless steel mounting hardware kit.

Note: The Stairway Special Gate will span an area from 27" to 42 1/2" wide. For greater span widths extensions can be purchased in 10 1/2" (BX1 Extension) and 21 3/4" (BX2 Extension) varieties. When using the BX1 Extension your gate will have a span range of 42 1/2" to 53". When using the BX2 Extension your gate will have a span range of 42 1/2" to 64 1/4".
 Use with children: This gate has been certified by the Juvenile Products Manufacturer's Association for use with small children. It is best used for securing the top or bottom of a staircase. While the one-handed latching system can easily be used by adults, it is quite effective with toddlers. |
 Use with pets: This gate gives you the flexibility of being able to be used indoors or outdoors. It is perfect for securing decks, porches, or staircases. It is extremely strong and durable. |
